Best thing about working at EVEREST SPORTS:
Having staff who love what they do makes a great environment to work in and there is loads of variety to keep it interesting.
Interests outside work:
We have a bit of property which requires a lot of my attention, but I love to get out snowboarding, cycling or bushwalking in the area whenever I can.
My ride:
For winter it’s my Torah Bright signature series Eminence snowboard with matching Flow bindings.
In summer it’s either my Trek Fuel EX8.5 for MTB (forks and wheels swapped out), and an Avanti Competitor which was my husbands, fully refurbed for commuting; one of the benifits of having a bike mechanic husband who loves to tinker!
Favourite Places to Ride:
Anywhere with deep powder and great terrain! If I don’t have the chance to get to Vail or Japan, Mt Hotham on a good day is SWEET!
There are some great trails to discover around Bright and as my skills improve I am gradually finding them. However even a cruisy ride along the rail trail offers some spectacular views for the commute to work.
Short paragraph about yourself:
I spent the first 12 years after study working as a microbiologist making vaccines for animals. Talk about life changes – I moved to the area after getting married and so far I have worked at a winery, as a retail assistant in the ski industry, a gourmet butter maker and as a property manager. It has been a fun learning curve, taking bits from all of these jobs and applying it to the next job. Never stop learning.....
